We’ve all heard of “investment” or “staple” pieces for the wardrobe, but how you go about finding these diamonds in the rough is another story.

That’s why I am thrilled to be partnering with Tod’s on this post because they are the epitome of what it means to create products that are timeless, classic and authentic staples for your closet.

Your 20s are all about exploring and testing out different trends and styles, but as a woman in my late 30s I can honestly say that I’m less inclined to hop on every trend bandwagon.

I am much more interested in investing in classic pieces that I can get a lot of wear out of.

1. Luxe Loafers

Because you can get daily wear out of a pair of loafers, and they withstand wear and tear, I would highly suggest investing in a pair of amazing loafers each season. Choose comfortable heel heights and classic styles.

2. A Great Bag

I think it goes without saying that having a great pair of shoes and a killer bag will truly transform any closet. My current favorite style is a crossbody because I can be hands-free when I’m traveling, running errands, or carrying my daughter around.

3. Sweet Shades

It’s the first thing that anyone will see – your face! You guys know how much I love wearing sunglasses, and it’s the quickest and easiest accessory to invest in.

4. Beautiful Blazer

A classic black or camel blazer is a piece that every woman needs in her closet, and you will grab for time and time again. There’s no need to go splurge on one until you’ve tried out different styles and cuts and know which one you truly love before investing in a higher-end version.

Special thank you to Tod’s for partnering on this post

Do you have any amazing investment pieces that you can’t live without?
