Earlier people used to dread oils for facial skincare as oils are greasy and thick. But, the situation became exactly opposite when skin care geeks found out about the goodness of various natural oils and essential oils.
Many famous celebrity makeup artists from Bollywood and Hollywood these days rely on facial oils for achieving flawless finish with their foundation and other face makeup product. Keeping up with the trend I have found Radiance Face Oil Saffron and Turmeric from SoulTree.

SoulTree Radiance Face Oil, packed with the goodness of Saffron and Turmeric infused in oils of Almond, Jojoba and Apricot helps maintain the natural radiance of the skin keeping pigmentation, early signs of aging and skin woes at bay.

Packaging: This oil comes in a dark coloured glass bottle with golden metallic screw lid. The bottle is darkened to keep the effectiveness of the oil mix inside intact. It has a cardboard outer packaging to keep the bottle safe. The outer pack mentions all necessary details about this oil and ingredients. The bottle is small in size and extremely travel-friendly.
Colour & Consistency: The oil is pale yellow but looks transparent when poured in small quantity. This oil blend is moderate in thickness. It feels quite moisturizing as it contains some thick base oils like apricot kernel oil and sunflower oil.
Fragrance: SoulTree Radiance Face Oil does not contain added fragrance. Its mild herbal fragrance comes from its constituent oils. the smell is very light and stays just a few seconds.
Quantity & Price: This oil blend is priced at Rs.750 for 10ml. This is definitely a pricy facial oil. It contains several expensive herbal extracts and oils like turmeric, apricot kernel, sunflower seed, manjistha, red sandalwood and saffron.
My Overall Thoughts:
I have combination skin but I get acne very easily if I use a heavy or oily skin care formula. I could not even imagine putting oil on my face before. But, the craze of face oils made me try this one from Soultree. I used a drop of this oil in my night skin care as a replacement for my regular moisturizer from Cetaphil.
The oil is thick and extremely moisturizing. I had to massage it for a minute or so to get it absorbed. It made my skin look glowing instantly. It did not irritate my skin and did not cause any itching or redness. The next morning my face looked hydrated and nourished but small zits from clogged pores appeared on the forehead and nose.
This is nothing new to me though. Whenever I do overnight oiling with coconut oil or any such thick oil I get these small bumps. I think the sunflower oil and other career oils caused these. I can say SoulTree Radiance Face Oilwill be suitable for dry to severely dry skin people.
