This post was written in collaboration with Olay. All opinions and views are my own.
You all know I love retinol. It’s the #1 most effective ingredient in skincare when it comes to anti-aging. This ingredient is a powerhouse and it’s no secret I’m a big fan. What is retinol exactly? It’s Vitamin A that helps to regenerate skin cells to reveal younger, firmer and brighter skin. So when Olay asked me to test out a few of their new Retinol24 products, I, of course, said heck yes!
Since I was already using the Olay Regenerist Whip in the morning, it made sense to try the nighttime products too. After giving them a try, I’d say the Retinol24 moisturizer is 100% being added to my daily routine. Retinol24 gives you smoother and brighter skin in just 24 hours without irritation. I recently have had some roughness to my skin and after using this I noticed a big improvement. It also provides hydration which is key when using a retinol product as it can be drying at times.
Olay’s proprietary formula of a retinoid complex with vitamin B3 helps to hydrate and improve your skin tone and texture. It hydrates better than other leading retinol with this unique formula. You shouldn’t experience common retinol side effects like irritation and redness with this product. Personally, I did not experience any of these and 96% of users say they didn’t have any issues either.
When Should You Use Retinol?
I’ve been using the Olay Retinol24 moisturizer after washing my face at night. Use the Olay Retinol24 moisturizer before bed to wake up with glowing skin. Retinol should be used at night as it shouldn’t be exposed to sunlight and needs to be applied to clean skin. This formula isn’t super harsh, so you can use it daily if you like!
Expect to see a difference in just one use, but the really noticeable results can take up to 4 weeks. And this is with any skincare products. I always recommend giving it a few weeks of trying something out.
